You're choosing a sport that offers:

  • Maximum time on foil

  • is great in Windy conditions

  • its also great in the winter as you're not in the water

  • You can have fun on Flat water

  • And you can ride Waves

  • You can go fast and you can cruise

  • You're starting a sport which offers endless progression, so you'll always be challenged

Independence and maximum time on foil

If you wanna be a foiler then (I think) winging should be in your quiver. It enables you to have so much fun in wide range of conditions. This means you can progress, it means you can foil in deepest darkest winter when getting in the water is not appealing. Because once you can do it without falling so much you can be out on the water barely getting wet or cold.

And it changes your perception of wind. lets face it we have a lot of wind in the UK which messes up otherwise great waves. But when you can wing it opens up an entirely new playground. Now when its windy you can have even more fun.

Afterall when we go surfing alot of time is sitting waiting for waves, but when wingfoiling you're riding the board ALL the time. Its more like skating or snowboarding in that regard.

Add in some waves, or bumps and you have a new playground unknown to other board sports because of the glide of foil.

Its not like kiting or windsurfing where youre hanging on and aggressively beating up wind, on a foil your riding above the water surface, as ruffled as it is , you're cool calm and collected!
